Below is this weeks update covering Landcare activities, upcoming events and funding presented on Landcare’s weekly segment with Anne Delaney on Riverina ABC Breakfast Radio live from 6.40am on Thursday mornings.

Good news: Successful grants in the Riverina How soon we forget the challenge of writing a grant when we read the words “your grant was successful”. Congratulations to all involved in contributing to the following proposals that were successful:

The Landcare Australia Support Grants 2016 These grants were largely funded by Landcare Australia’s Workplace Giving Program, a program that allows individuals to make regular pre-tax donations to Landcare Australia through their employer’s payroll system

Paddock tree film – Not long to go before Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc. launches its paddock tree film about the inspiring work of farmers to protect paddock trees. Produced  by Matt Herring (of Robbie the Bittern fame) it features some local Riverina farming faces. Who will they be?

For people reading this for the first time……. welcome. Landcare interest and activity in the Riverina is building momentum and as such, we continue  to expand our list of Landcare contacts. This not only includes Landcare groups in the Riverina but the many other stakeholders and individuals who contribute in a variety of ways.
