Successful Get together in Temora for Riverina Landcare support staff On Tuesday this week our Local Landcare Coordinators in the Riverina reported on the fabulous work they have undertaken since commencing 3 months ago. Riverina Local Land Services presented on their operations, in particular Landcare-related activities and Cindy Cassidy discussed with us how Farmlink could work with Landcare. Also in attendance were representatives from Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc, LachLandcare, Temora Shire Council and Lake Cowal Foundation. It was a wonderful opportunity for the 22 people to share what they having been doing to support Landcare in the region and collaborative plans for the future. It has been many, many years since such a get-together like this has occurred. Another one is planned for November. On behalf of all who attended, we thank the Landcare groups and friends for supporting the Local Landcare Coordinators as they settle into their new jobs.
For people reading this for the first time……. welcome. Landcare interest and activity in the Riverina is building momentum and as such, we continue to expand our list of Landcare contacts. This not only includes Landcare groups in the Riverina but the many other stakeholders and individuals who contribute in a variety of ways.
