Landcare Snapshot 23 June 2016

Below is this week’s update covering Landcare activities, upcoming events and funding presented on Landcare’s weekly segment with Anne Delaney on Riverina ABC Breakfast Radio live from 6.40am on Thursday mornings.

New Paddock Tree video featuring Tarcutta, Bethungra and Illabo family farms Many hours were spent preparing, filming and editing Murrumbidgee Landcare’s new Paddock Tree video with some generous Riverina  farmers who shared their time and stories. We hope that you will enjoy it  and share with family, friends, your local community and other contacts. This 13 minute film was produced by Matt Herring and Nathan Smith. The video was funded through the NSW Environmental Trust, and it aims to both highlight the importance of paddock trees in the rural landscape, and celebrate the efforts of landholders in protecting and nurturing these trees.  Media release and video may be viewed here.

NSW Biodiversity Reform submissions due next Tuesday 28th June by 5pm. Information about the biodiversity reforms can be found online:

For people reading this for the first time……. welcome. Landcare interest and activity in the Riverina is building momentum and as such, we continue  to expand our list of Landcare contacts. This not only includes Landcare groups in the Riverina but the many other stakeholders and individuals who contribute in a variety of ways. If you would like to receive these snapshots as a weekly email, please contact Bindi at
