Landcare Snapshot 4 August 2016

Below is our weekly update covering landcare activities, upcoming events and funding presented on Landcare’s weekly segment with Anne Delaney on Riverina ABC Breakfast Radio live from ~6.40am on Thursday mornings.

Congratulations to everyone on a huge National Tree Day celebration! Stunning effort. We’ve been sharing people’s Tree Day photos on Twitter and Facebook,  if you have any pictures of your own Tree Day efforts we’d love to see them.

Murray LLS, Charles Sturt University and Murray Regional Landcare Facilitator Edwina Hayes will be presenting about the Capacity Survey project at the National Landcare Conference and Wirraminna Environmental Education Centre are nominated for Creative Catchment Kids in the Junior Landcare Award. If you are thinking about attending, please let Edwina know. Early bird rates close next Friday 12 Aug.

Henty Field Days Landcare Shed displays are coming along. Shed helpers get a free pass into the Field Days so let us know if you would like to join us for a couple of hours talking to the punters about Landcare and all the good work you do.

For people reading this for the first time……. welcome. Landcare interest and activity in the Riverina is building momentum and as such, we continue to expand our list of Landcare contacts. This not only includes Landcare groups in the Riverina but the many other stakeholders and individuals who contribute in a variety of ways. If you would like to receive these snapshots as a weekly email, please contact Bindi at rlf@mli.org.au
