Remnant Inland River Red Gums Assessment

Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc recently received a $15,000 grant through the Bjarne K Dahl Trust to undertake a project to map the distribution of the Inland River Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis), and assess the health of the stands of these trees across the Riverina Plains. The project was officially launched on National Tree Day 31 July 2016.

Below is an article by Hay and Rangelands Local Landcare Coordinator Annabel Lugsdin, published in The Riverine Grazier, describing the project and the importance of mapping and assessing the health of these Inland River Red Gum stands.
